BONSAI-EASY NEW METHOD-PART 6-TRIM MING TREE
SHORT VIDEO SHOWING THE TRIMMING OF A SMALL MING TREE. I had gotten a grouping of four Ming tree trunks as one planting which I split up. This is one of the plants that I took from that grouping. Ming trees grow really nicely and you have to repot them fairly often as they grow so vigorously. (May, 2008- showing traditional bonsai at the Morikami Museum. It’s just a silent look at their trees, but it is inspiring)(”Morikami Bonsai Gardens May 2008″).(***PLEASE VIEW PART 12 ABOUT THE WARNING ON HANDLING SPHAGNUM MOSS BEFORE YOU WORK WITH SPHAGNUM MOSS***).

I have a bonsai I received as a agist, however it did not come with any info on it. I was wondering how often do I water it, and do they need repotting often. I have watched some videos however , none of them have had they same leaves and stuff as mine. Do they all get the same treatment. ?? Can I pluck the leaves that look like they are dead….?

lol o well a mix up but still i had the rite idea =) just dont use any thing that will hurt the plant

actually scissors have blunt blades… you want slanted blades more like a knife so it cuts cleanly and doesn’t pulverize the living tissue of the tree. that could cause ireperable damage.

sorry, not to be mean but scissors are not supposed to be used as bonsai trimming tools… the reason why is because they have slanted blades which can permanently damage the plant because it pinches the branch tips shut which makes it hard grow back. hope i helped

I have a bonsai tree that was a gift and it did not come with any info, it looks great but I was wondering when do I water it, and one or two of the leaves are looking like they are dting, can I just pluck them off? I have watched several videos on here, but I was wondering of every type of tree needs diffrent treatment.

I used to try a rooting hormone, but it never worked then I found out it was a anti-fungicide. Sometimes I put them in water for a week or two to see if they will grow. My best cuttings are always planted straight into some good old potting compost! Patience my friend!
